Konstantinos Spathopoulos

Born in Thessaloniki in 1932 to Thomas Spathopoulos and Triantafilia Spathopoulou nee Zografidou, Konstantinos Spathopoulos currently lives in central Athens as a retired doctor.

Born the proud son of Pontian Greek refugees, he is now working on sharing his heritage – from his father’s writings to his own memories and experiences from a young child during the German Occupation. growing up in Edessa, to his studies at the Greek Military Medical Academy of Thessaloniki where he was first in his year, to his years working in both Australia and Greece while concurrently being active in promoting Greek culture and history, in the public sphere, especially in relation to his Pontian heritage.

Dr Spathopoulos is widowed to his late Australian wife Wanda Spathopoulou, has a daughter and two grandsons who live in Sydney, Australia.
